2023 was the first year that YOLO VISION (YV23) was held as a hybrid event in Madrid at the Google for Startups campus, giving us the chance to host talks and seminars with professionals, colleagues, and enthusiasts alike, while sharing a common vision towards AI innovation and technology.
Our speakers took us through different implementations of Ultralytics YOLOv8 models deployed for different usage. A great example is Seeed Studio and their no-code camera upgrades using YOLOv8.

Streaming live from Shenzhen, Edge AI Partnership and Marketing Manager at Seeed, Elaine Wu delved into the transformative potential of Edge AI and AIoT applications. In this blog post, we’d like to explore the key highlights from her talk, where she discussed cutting-edge topics such as video analytics, YOLOv8 deployment, and the deployment of AI models to low-power Edge AI devices.

Focusing on video analytics applications, she showcased the deployment of the YOLOv8 model on embedded devices like Jetson Nano, and Jetson Xavier NX making it a pivotal step toward achieving reliable and efficient digital transformation goals.
One notable aspect of her discussion was the potential of smart cameras, empowered by advanced AI, to transform various spaces and enhance safety across diverse scenarios. She demonstrated how legacy cameras could seamlessly integrate the YOLOv8 model without requiring intricate coding, making AI adoption accessible to a wider audience.

This session served as a gateway leading us to the deployment of computer vision in video analytics across different industries and use cases, exploring the synergy between hardware and software applications for AI-powered video analytics, and highlighting the efficiency gains and development time savings.
The second part of the talk focused on the deployment of AI models to low-power Edge AI devices, with a particular emphasis on NVIDIA Jetson, highlighting the simplicity of building and deploying AI models, transcending beyond GPU devices.
Elaine shared insights into TensorRT's support for accelerated inferencing and presented the YOLOv8 benchmark tested by NVIDIA Jetson Orin using TensorRT.
A noteworthy mention was Seeed's elite partnership with the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem, positioning Seed as a one-stop destination for simplifying AI development.
