As Ultralytics gears up for YOLO Vision 2024 (YV24), we couldn’t be more excited to bring together the open-source Vision AI community once again. YOLO Vision is Ultralytics’ free annual hybrid event where AI experts, innovators, and developers gather to share ideas and push the boundaries of what’s possible. This year, the event will take place on September 27, 2024, at the Google for Startups Campus in Madrid, where anyone is welcome to join in person via YouTube and Bili Bili. 

Whether you’re a researcher, an engineer, a developer, or just passionate about computer vision, this hybrid event is a great way to connect, learn, and be inspired by what’s happening in the realm of AI. The event will feature panel discussions, keynote talks from industry leaders, and booths, as well as an exciting product launch that offers a glimpse into what’s next for Ultralytics and the world of Vision AI!

YOLO Vision: A Hybrid Vision AI Event

YV24 is a hybrid event that combines the excitement of an in-person gathering with the flexibility of joining online. Powered by Ultralytics, the event is perfect for anyone interested in the future of computer vision and AI. The event focuses on sharing what’s happening in the Vision AI landscape including new research and trends, and exploring how Vision AI is used in real-world applications.

Before we dive into the details of YOLO Vision 2024, let's take a moment to look back at the event’s last edition, YOLO Vision 2023. It was a day filled with opportunities to connect, share ideas, and build partnerships, leaving everyone feeling motivated and inspired. Held at the Google for Startups Campus in Madrid and live-streamed globally, reaching over 6,000 views on BiliBil and 12,000 on YouTube spanning 70 countries. The event brought together some of the brightest minds in AI, including Elaine Wu, Erica Brescia, Adrian Boguszewski, Amir Servi, and many others. With support from sponsors, including Intel's OpenVINO and Sony, the event became a platform for sharing insights, tackling challenges, and discussing different applications of Vision AI

Through panel discussions, keynote speakers, and interactive sessions, YOLO Vision 2023 was a great example of the power of community in sparking innovation and advancing AI technology. The event featured a full day of engaging talks covering various computer vision and AI topics. Key moments included a talk by Ultralytics Founder and CEO, Glenn Jocher, who discussed his journey into Vision AI and highlighted the latest advancements in YOLO models and their impact on different industries like retail and agriculture. The event also covered important topics like ethical challenges in AI and included a walk-through of Ultralytics Hub, our no-code solution that makes machine learning accessible to everyone, no matter their coding skills.

  • Pavel Lakubovskii, Machine Learning Engineer at Hugging Face: He specializes in computer vision. He focuses on deep learning models for image segmentation and object detection. Pavel created the segmentation_models.pytorch library and is a Kaggle Competitions Master, making AI tools more accessible for developers worldwide.
  • Elaine Wu, Edge AI Partnership and Marketing Manager at Seeed Studio: She specializes in Edge AI solutions and aims to establish a trustworthy hardware platform that drives digital transformation efforts and innovates with next-gen AI products.
  • Adrian Boguszewski, Software Evangelist at OpenVINO: He is the co-author of the LandCover.ai dataset and the creator of the OpenCV Image Viewer Plugin. In his current role, he focuses on educating people about the OpenVINO Toolkit.
  • Dmitriy Pastushenkov, AI PC Evangelist at Intel Germany with over 20 years of international experience in industrial automation, IIoT, real-time operating systems, and AI. He has held roles in software development, architecture, and technical management, driving innovation across industries.
  • Bo Zhang, Algorithm Strategist at Meituan: He specializes in multimodal language models, model compression, and AutoML, and is currently focused on efficient vision-language models and their applications.
  • Jim Griffin, Founder of AI Master Group: A faculty member at the University of Texas, Austin, he has over 20 years of experience in AI and machine learning projects worldwide and shares his insights through weekly YouTube videos and a recently launched podcast on Spotify.
  • Christina Stathopoulos, Founder and Data Evangelist of Dare to Data: She is committed to helping people and companies advance their data journey by training, upskilling, and promoting data and AI solutions, using her experience from leading data projects at Google and Waze.

To attend YOLO Vision 2024, register to attend in person for free at the Google for Startups campus in Madrid or join virtually from anywhere in the world. The event will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Calle de Moreno Nieto, 2, Arganzuela, 28005 Madrid, Spain. Attending in person gives you the chance to fully immerse yourself in the event, interact with speakers and other attendees, and take part in networking sessions.
